I'm just following a YouTube tutorial which was done in different Xcode versions and those navigation issues Tutorial which was not clear was confronted. I think this is something with the latest exode change which I hope someone can be able to address here.
I have a table view controller embedded in the navigation controller (initial view) and from TableViewController, I created a + from bar item to another view controller in a push simulation mode , It displays the + button as edit and clicking on it does not go to the view controller, it should proceed.
Similar to the storyboard 
And, this is the simulation screen that the button is incorrect and clicking does not go to the next screen.

Check the SEG connection, if you have given it in the cell, if there is a record then just navigate to the next scene. To see the other intelligent persons next time for testing purposes, give a SEGU connection with the edit button.
