javascript - CSS3 Transform and Perspective -

I have an image that I am rotating using rotateY. Right now it rotates through 90 degrees (i.e. the edge for the audience) I want to reduce my ambiguity (using javascript). It appears when the audience comes back.

However, since I have a perspective set, then it does not really show an edge when it is rotated through 90 degrees.

Is there a way to decide when the edge on the image appears, without churning yourself through the conversion?
