git merge - Rebasing/Renaming Branches Git -

I have two branches, one release branch and the other is a feature branch. When I worked on both the branches from the facility branch was released from the branch, the merge is not going to work properly. There were a lot of changes in the feature branch, by rename files / folders, ...

I tried to rebase the facility branch to release the branch, but it does not work, there There are many struggles. Now I am thinking of changing the name of the facility branch to issue the branch, but the problem is that we have the tag, which were made from the release branch.

I want to know, if I continue to change the name of the convenience branch, and to remove the release branch, we have the tag release branch?

A tag is labeled only for a specific committed labeled a tag It is free from any branches that you may have, removing or renaming a branch will not cause the tag to be lost or otherwise modified.
