I deselected on my Linux server I could see a lot about posting online about how to use InOptified and Found a sample c code that looks for a directory to create / delete files. It works well on both the local directory and the NFS directory (which I actually need)
Now seeing the opitons how this process is always going on I understand at least the following options. / P>
- I think try to run this code with a wait and do not turn it off?
- incrond - which is apparently a daemon process I think this is not on my Linux server. I have Rhel5 so I think I have to set it up.
- Inotix-tools - this seems to be the easiest because it says that I can only use commands in a shell script
I also have questions Occurs when the nfs mount is removed, the server closes etc. What will she know where she came from ?!
I know that this is a lot of questions, but some hints thank me a great deal in advance. Meanwhile I continue to play with the Heapple C code.
I do not think it works
local host something If NFS is modifying / writing the mounted system, it can work (on the local host).
P> This (on the local host) will not work if some remote client is modifying / writing some NFS mounted systems (mounted by the local host).
Because the NFS protocol (at least those I know, formerly NFS 4) is an RPC protocol, and there is no way to signal the removal of remote NFS server (Enhancing NFS system). , Which is getting cheerful.
