I am using the VS 2012 final version. I have installed Windows Phone SDK 8 but I can not seem to run windows app on my computer. How can I completely install Windows Phone SDK 8 in my Windows 8.1 OS in VS 2012? If this can not be done, then what is the next option to establish that? Update 2: Windows Phone 8.1 emulator requires Visual Studio 2013 update.

Update-1: Turn on Hyper V from BIOS settings.
You can not run the Windows Phone 8.1 app directly in your computer, but you have to install an emulator and the app will be played in that emulator. You can download the Windows Phone Emulator here:
