I am using VSTO with VB.NET for Excel 2013. I am developing an application-level add-in, but I can not store two different workbooks separately "ribbon state" For example, when I want to enable a button, I use:
Globals. Ribbon Ribbon 1 Mibton. Enabled = false
This "mybutton" element is disabled on each open workbook, but I want to disable it only for one workbook.
The way in which I am now doing, to activate the workview, the Ribbon State problem is to activate: In this way, the user sees an invalid state on other workbooks, not at the top Are there.
Is there a better solution? There is no way to manage the examples of the ribbon (and not just the global element as I am)?
Thanks

You will need to use callback instead. Try using getEnabled callback instead.
In addition, when necessary you can use interface methods to apply Office applications to update UI applications. The method invalidates cached values for all controls of the ribbon user interface. See:
