Repairing the Visual Studio 2012 C# compiler after an update? -

I am trying to compile C # form and console applications in Visual Studio 2012 Professional (on Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System)

. Every time I try to upgrade, the compile process seems corrupted by updates. There are errors during the compilation that tell me that Visual Studio is unable to finish building. The errors shown did not lead to any useful results in my search. The last mistake after running update 4 is "appconfig is invalid".

The following efforts did not fix this problem: Windows Update (and it was reset when it was reset), repairing the visual installation, updating, updating and / or after cleaning And later instructions were given to retrieve the NF platform.

I tried to update using several updates without testing the status after each update first. Later, I came to know that there was a problem after every update (when I accidentally thought that later updates would fix the problem - they are not). Every time I was able to start Visual Studio and was able to load my applications, but was unable to compile. Finally, the only solution to work for me was either (1) the system was restored to restore the original version, or (2) uninstall the program, and then the base version (To make sure to hide all subsequent Windows updates related to Visual Studio).

Is there any way to repair / troubleshoot the C # compiler?
